The Carl N. Gunter Branch, now Libuse Branch Library, serves about 14,501 residents who live in the communities of Libuse, Deville, and Buckeye in Pineville City. The library is a part of the Rapides Parish Library System, which maintains 287,960 volumes and circulates 710,726 items annually, including genealogy and electronic resources. The branch occupies a 6,500-square-foot building with study and conference rooms, a children's area, computer stations, and parking spaces. It offers Book Club for all ages, Storytime, and Library Babies events, as well as print, copy, and fax services.
