The Calcasieu Parish Public Library serves over 203,000 residents in the city of Lake Charles. It maintains 326,850 volumes and circulates 1.4 million items per year. The library offers small and large community meeting rooms at Central, DeQuincy, Iowa, Moss Bluff, Sulphur, Vinton, and Westlake branches and a Makerspace at two locations. The Makerspace provides creative equipment like an Adobe Creative Suite, a Laser Cutter & Engraver, Sewing Machine, Silhouette Cameo Pro, and Slide-to-Digital Converter. The library also offers public computers with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office, as well as WiFi, printing/copying/scanning/faxing services, and various library programs.
