The Alex P. Allain Memorial Branch Library is a public library serving more than 6,500 residents in Franklin, a small city in and the parish seat of St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. As an affiliate library of the Saint Mary Parish Library, the Alex P. Allain Memorial Branch Library (also referred to as the Franklin Branch) contributes to the overall collection and services, which maintains almost 200,000 books and serial volumes, more than 6,000 audio and more than 16,000 video collections and circulates more than 200,000 items per year. Franklin Branch is only one of the seven branches, plus the headquarters with a total aggregated visits of more than 155,000 and more than 38,000 registered borrowers.
