The Golden Meadow Branch Library is a publicly funded and managed library serving almost 2,000 residents of the city of Golden Meadow. It is an affiliate branch of the Lafourche Parish Public Library, which was created by Parish Ordinance #667 in 1935. In its first two years of operation, the library launched bookmobile services and eight new branches; Golden Meadow Branch is one of these. Since Hurricane Ida caused severe damage to it, the Golden Meadow Branch will soon be demolished. The parish government is collaborating with library administration and the library board to decide the next steps in delivering library services to the Golden Meadow neighborhood. Golden Meadow users are invited to attend our Larose Branch for library services.
