The Amelia Branch Library is a public library serving more than 2,000 residents in Franklin, a small city in and the parish seat of St. Mary County, Louisiana. As an affiliate library of the Saint Mary Parish Library, the Amalia Branch Library contributes to the overall collection and services, which maintain almost 200,000 books and serial volumes, more than 6,000 audio and more than 16,000 video collections, and circulate more than 200,000 items per year. Amalia Branch is only one of the seven branches, plus the headquarters, with a total aggregated visitation of more than 155,000 and more than 38,000 registered borrowers.
