The West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center serves about 47,450 residents in the City of Ocoee and is part of the Orange County Library. The Library System maintains about 1.2 million volumes and circulates 15.1 million items annually. West Oaks Branch Library opened its doors in 2001 and began serving as the new Genealogy Center for Orange County in January 2015. It is the official storehouse of the Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and holds 30,000 genealogy books. It also houses collections of books, audiobooks, music, videos, and DVDs of different genres. The West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center provides a Technology Classroom with eight computers for public use, an EPOCH Station, Wireless Internet access, Printers/Scanners, a Fax Machine, Storytime events, and other library programs.
