The Polk County Historical and Genealogical Library serves 19,447 residents in the City of Bartow, Polk County. The Library is a non-circulating member of the Polk County Library Cooperative and is located on the second floor of the Polk County History Center. It holds over 4,000 items, which include collections of books, microfilm, and periodicals relating to the eastern United States history and newspapers, aerial photographs, maps, city directories, property tax rolls, and cemetery records of Polk County. It also offers access to a microfilm room, Ancestry, wireless internet access, digital resources, and a monthly Genealogy Speaker Series.
