The West Kendall Regional Library serves the people of Miami and is a Miami-Dade County Public Library System member. The Library System maintains 3.9 million volumes and circulates about 6.7 million items per year. West Kendall Regional Library opened its doors in 1990 and is housed in a 45,731-square-foot building in the Hammocks Town Center. It features a Coworking Center for business owners, the YOUmake Miami Makerspace for technology activities, meeting and study rooms, an auditorium, and a children's room. It offers a wide array of resources and programs, including tax assistance, Arts, STEAM activities, knitting clubs, board games, financial literacy classes, and Yoga.
