The Westchester Regional Library, previously known as West Dade Regional Library, serves 439,890 residents in the City of Miami. The Library is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Library District, which maintains 3.2 million volumes and circulates approximately 6.1 million items per year. Westchester Regional Library opened in June 1980 and holds collections of 200,000 books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and newspapers. It offers English Conversation classes, cultural activities, employment assistance, tax assistance, homework help, tutoring, and other library events and services.
