The Terrytown Branch Library serves about 17,590 residents of Gretna City, the parish seat of Jefferson Parish. The library began in October 1974 and currently occupies a 5,600-square-foot building, with an adult reading room, spaces for children and teens, and 21 new computers. It holds collections of books, magazines, videos, and Spanish language resources and offers events like Storytime, Yarn Club, and English Language classes.
