The Simmesport Branch Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves more than 1,000 residents in the city of Simmesport, in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. Founded in 1984, the branch contributes to the general collection and services of the county library system, which comprises over 80,000 books and serial volumes, more than 2,000 audio files, more than 2,000 video files, more than 13,000 registered borrowers, more than 21,000 visitors, and more than 36,000 objects that are circulated annually.
