The Saint Charles Parish Library serves 52,680 residents in the city of Luling. It was established in 1955 through a sponsorship by the State Library of Louisiana, and has since then expanded to include six library branches, a Bookmobile, and a Planetarium. The library maintains 248,230 volumes and circulates 220,346 items per year.  It also provides access to several resources for online learning, job & careers, business, test prep, and homework help. The library offers public computers, WiFi, hotspots, printing/copying, a makerspace featuring hands-on workshops, planetarium shows, and storytime events.
