The Ruskin Branch Library serves residents of the city of Ruskin. The first public library service in the Ruskin neighborhood dates back to 1916 and was initially housed in private homes under the management of the Ruskin Woman's Club. The library's collection was moved several times from the Chamber of Commerce Building in 1929, then relocated to the Ruskin Woman's Club building in 1940. With the intention of gathering money for the creation of a permanent library, the Library Association was established in 1963. And in 1966 it was materialized at 26 Dickman Drive. As one of the libraries under the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library, which presently has more than two million volumes of books, more than 143,000 eBooks, more than 64,000 audio files, and almost 300,000 video files in its collection, is augmented with the opening of the Ruskin Branch. These inventory items, numbering over 9.5 million, are circulated every year. Additionally, there are over 600,000 registered borrowers in the county, and there have been over four million visitors to all 27 sites.
