The Peter and Julie Cummings Library serves over 25,000 Palm City residents. The library belongs to the Martin County Library System, which holds a collection of over 293,500 volumes and circulates more than 1.2 million items per year. The branch opened its doors in 1995 and now occupies a 21,500-square-foot building with community, conference, and study rooms, a children's section, and a digital literacy lab that has media creation tools and software. It offers large print materials, fiction, audio discs, and visual materials, as well as virtual and in-person events.
