The Orlando Public Library serves over 316,000 residents in the City of Orlando and is a part of the Orange County Library System. Since its founding as the Albertson Public Library in 1923, the Library has served the neighborhood and is publicly funded. It is the Orange County Library System headquarters and resource center. It contributes resources to the over 1.2 million volumes and 15.1 million items circulated annually by the Library System. Its collections include books, audiobooks, magazines, music, videos, DVDs, microfilm, world language materials, Florida collections, Disney archives, and entertainment materials for all ages. The Orlando Public Library houses the Children's Library, Library Central, Technology and Education Center, and Learning Central. In addition, it offers public computers, WiFi, online reference materials, office services, computer classes, technology support, and various events, including Storybook Fun, Tiny Tales, and Toddler Time.
