Established in 1932, the library is the ninth rural part-time branch of the Shreve Memorial Library, which maintains 606,866 volumes and circulates about 1.2 million items per year. The Oil City branch provides books, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, newspapers, movies, TV shows, Book Clubs, and a fitness program for preschool children. It is open from 11 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
