The Northwest Regional Library serves more than 200,000 residents in the city of Cape Coral, in southwest Florida. It is one of the 13 affiliate branches under the Lee County Library System, founded in 1964. With the addition of the Northwest Regional Branch Library in 2015, the county library system now includes nearly 122,000 volumes of books, more than 43,000 eBooks, nearly 3,000 audio files, and more than 3,000 video files. Additionally, the Lee County Library System caters to nearly 300,000 registered borrowers in the county, with six million circulations per year from all its sites.
