The Northeast Branch Library serves almost 200,000 residents in the city of Tallahassee, Florida. It is an affiliate branch library under the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library, funded and managed by the government. Since its establishment in 1995, the Northeast Branch has consistently assisted the county library in meeting the growing demand for library services. It offers many sections, including ones for young adults, adult literature, non-fiction, and cinema, to name a few. Today, Northeast adds to the county's overall collection, which currently numbers over 1.7 million items in circulation and includes close to 700,000 book and serial volumes, close to 16,000 eBooks, more than 30,000 audio files, and 44,000 video files. Additionally, the city library receives more than one million visits annually at all seven of its locations and has a total of 165,000 registered borrowers.
