The Mooretown Branch Library serves about 184,021 residents of Shreveport City in northwest Louisiana. The library is a member of Shreve Memorial Library, which maintains about 606,886 volumes and circulates over 1.2 million items annually. It opened its doors to the public in September 2003 and continues to provide library resources and events like Movie Shows, Gamers Unite Day, and Anime Club in the library's meeting room, as well as the Internet and Microsoft Word Classes in the Tech Center of the library.
