The Mid-City Library, along with other New Orleans Public Libraries, serves about 376,971 residents of New Orleans City in Louisiana. The library system maintains more than 673,500 volumes, with over 1.1 million items in annual circulation, including early literacy, adult learning, and business resources. The new Mid-City Branch Library opened its doors in June 2007 and currently provides in-person services from Monday through Saturday.
