The Micanopy Branch Library serves about 650 residents in the City of Micanopy and is a part of the Alachua County Library District. The library maintains 14,500 titles contributing to the Library District's 952,033 volumes on hand and roughly three million items circulated annually. Opened in 1959, the Micanopy Branch is in the Micanopy Town Hall on Cholakka Boulevard. It has books like Florida Ghost Stories, audiobooks, local newspapers, magazines, CDs, and DVDs. It houses a seed library with collections of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs. In addition, it provides computers for public use, WiFi, printing/scanning services, and a variety of events for all ages.
