The Livingston Parish Library System, established in 1946, serves 131,940 residents in the city of Livingston. Since its inception, the library has expanded to include branches in Livingston (Main Branch), Denham Springs-Walker, Albany-Springfield, South, and Watson, as well as a Discovery Mobile Library. The library maintains approximately 390,000 volumes and circulates 452,120 items per year. The library locations offer public computers, laptops, free Wi-Fi, printing, copying, faxing, children's iPad stations, device charging stations, and programs like storytime, book clubs, and summer reading. The Main Library houses a Digital Media Lab (Makerspace), offering patrons access to tools and activities for digital content creation. The library also provides a Career Center at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch.
