The Lee County Library System serves 750,000 residents in the city of Fort Myers. The library holds more than 1.7 million volumes and circulates over 6.1 million items annually. The library opened its doors in 1964 and now has 13 locations, all of which are open during the weekdays, and users can browse, scan, and print materials using computers, free Wi-Fi, and online catalogs.
