The Hiawassee Library serves the people living in the City of Orlando and is part of the Orange County Library. The Library System maintains 1.2 million volumes and circulates over 15.1 million items annually. Hiawassee Library formally opened in 1962 as a Bookmobile Station. It offers collections of books, audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs. It provides public computers with Internet access, word processing, and online reference resources, a Language Learning Lab, WiFi, a Meeting room, Printers, Scanners, and library events.
