The Hernando County Public Library serves 173,000 residents in the city of Brooksville. It maintains 184,160 volumes and circulates 595,700 items per year. The library provides interlibrary loans,  meeting rooms, wireless printing, museum passes, community reading challenges, computer classes, and other library programs. Additionally, it offers a variety of fruits, flowers, vegetables, shrubs & trees, herbs, and pollinator seeds available at the Main Library.
