The Galt Ocean Mile Reading Center serves 183,146 residents in the City of Fort Lauderdale and is a Broward County branch. As a part of the Library System, it contributes to the 2.7 million volumes on hand and 9.8 million items circulated annually. Galt Ocean Mile Reading Center has collections of print books, large prints, books on CD, and audiovisual materials that span adult fiction, medical, legal, travel, and financial
topics. It hosts book discussions, coffee and conversation groups, movie programs, and other library events.
