The Vinton Branch Library, which replaced the Fontenot Memorial Library that was damaged by two hurricanes in 2020, serves about 3,171 residents in Vinton Town in Calcasieu Parish. The new branch opened its doors in October 2022 and provides storytime and book club events,  study, community, and conference rooms, a drive-thru, and gaming PCs, as well as printing services. The library is a branch of the Calcasieu Parish Public Library, which maintains about 312,355 volumes and circulates more than 1.5 million items annually.
