The Carver Ranches Branch Library serves 152,650 residents in the City of Hollywood, including African-American, Caribbean, and Hispanic residents. The Library is affiliated with the Broward County Library System. The Library System maintains 2.7 million volumes and circulates 9.8 million items per year. Carver Ranches Branch Library houses collections of books, Caldecott and Coretta Scott King award-winning books, DVDs, Black heritage materials, French and Spanish language resources, and a cache of 2,000 plus Black-themed items, which includes adult fiction, non-fiction, and reference resources. In addition, it offers computers for public use, children's programs, and youth services.
