The Literacy Learning Center is a public library that serves nearly 200,000 residents in the city of Oceanside, a coastal city in California. It is an affiliate branch of the Oceanside Public Library, founded in 1904, which started with a collection of books by the Women's Christian Temperance. In order to meet the growing demand for library services, the Literacy Learning Center was established in 1998. It contributes to the county system's overall resources, which comprise more than 2,600 e-books, 9,000+ audio files, 12,000+ video files, and close to 200,000 books and serial volumes. Also, the library system saw more than 739,000 visitors annually, nearly 500,000 items circulate, and over 61,000 registered borrowers.
