The Anthony Quinn Library serves over 3.9 million residents in the City of Los Angeles and is a part of the County of Los Angeles Public Library. The library maintains 4.8 million books and serial volumes, 33,000 electronic books, 306,390 audio, and 653,950 videos, and it circulates roughly 14.1 million items per year. The Anthony Quinn Library opened as the Belvedere Library in January 1914 and was renamed in honor of actor Anthony Quinn in 1982. It is housed in a 7,275-square-foot building with a meeting room, spaces for children, six public computers, six homework center computers, and two early learning computers. Its collections and services include Spanish books and DVDs for kids & adults, newspapers, local digital history resources, online materials, technology research assistance, homework help, and photocopying. In addition, the library offers storytime, poetry workshops, and other events for all patrons.
