The Oakley Library serves 43,771 residents in Oakley City and is one of the oldest Contra Costa Public Library branches. The library system maintains 1.2 million volumes and circulates 5.6 million items per year. Oakley Library opened its doors in 1913 and is currently housed in a building shared with the Freedom High School. It offers library resources, Storytime, Lego club events, Assistive Technology Computer, Public Computers, WiFi, Computer Help, Device Charging Station, and other library programs and services for children, teens, and adults.
