The Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, along with other Long Beach Public Libraries, serves over 466,740 residents of Los Angeles County in the Long Beach area, California. The library began as the North Library and reopened in September 2016 as the new Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library with large areas for kids, teens, and adults, three community meeting areas, study rooms, LearningLABstudio, a family learning center, and public computers. The library circulates several items from its collections, including assistive and adaptive technologies for people with disabilities
