The Lafayette Library is a publicly funded and managed library serving more than 25,000 residents in the city of Lafayette, in Contra Costa County, California. As an affiliate library of the Contra Costa County Library, Lafayette Branch contributes to the overall collection and services of the whole Contra Costa County library system, which include more than 6.8 million total circulations, more than 1.2 million book and serial volumes, more than 130,000 E-books, more than 72,000 audio files, and more than 84,000 video files. Founded in 1913 with a mission to provide quality materials and programs to meet the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of our diverse community. Additionally, it has more than 4 million visits and almost 500,000 registered borrowers.
