The Victoria Park Library, now Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, serves 93,535 residents in the City of Carson and is a part of the County of Los Angeles Public Library. The library system maintains 5.3 million volumes and circulates 16.5 million items annually. Opened in 1959, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library occupies a 5,024-square-foot building with spaces for children and teens, seven public computers, eight express, and one early learning computer. It offers book drop, homework help, research assistance, photocopying, and various learning activities for patrons of all ages.
