The University Community Branch Library is a part of the San Diego Public Library that serves the people in the University City area of San Diego. The Library System maintains 5.2 million volumes and circulates 6.8 million items annually. Opened in 1978, the University Community Branch Library occupies a 10,000-square-foot with 12 adult and 8 youth public computers, WiFi, and a meeting room. It has a large collection of young adult materials and offers storytime, workshops, qi gong classes, and other events.
