The SSgt. Salvador J. Lara Casa Blanca Library serves 317,261 residents in the City of Riverside and is a part of the Riverside Public Library. The Library System maintains 413,933 volumes and circulates over 1.3 million items annually. Opened in 2003, the Casa Blanca Branch is a Family Place Library that houses a wide range of materials for children, including Spanish language items. It holds collections of 30,000 books, DVDs, CD Books, and Music CDs, and provides study and meeting rooms, a computer lab, 18 adult and 12 children's computers, internet services, and various programs.
