The San Rafael Branch Library serves 135,732 residents in the City of Pasadena, Los Angeles County. The library belongs to the Pasadena Public Library and takes part in Pasadena's School Library Cooperative Project with San Rafael School. Opened in 1957, the San Rafael Branch Library holds collections of 26,457 volumes and circulates 39,000 items, including fiction and non-fiction books, Spanish language materials, magazines, DVDs, encyclopedias, and reference materials for children and adults. It is housed in a 3,882-square-foot building with a meeting room and offers weekly and monthly storytimes in addition to other events.
