The Melrose Branch Library serves the residents of Oakland City in Alameda County. The library maintains about one million volumes and circulates more than 2.6 million items per year, including resources in English and Spanish, African American fiction and non-fiction, and a small Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender collection. It offers computers, a meeting room, copying, printing, and events such as storytime, an Anime club, Teen gaming, and Teen crafts.
