The Lake Tamarisk Branch Library serves the people living in the Desert Center area of Riverside County, California. One of the divisions of the Riverside County Library System, the library provides resources for all ages, contributing to over 1.4 million volumes on hand and 3.4 million items circulated annually by the library system. The branch started as a box of books in the Desert Center Café and has since expanded its offerings, providing after-hour tutoring for children and teens and wireless printing services.
