The Golden Gate Branch of Oakland Public Library serves over 400,000 residents in the city of Oakland in Alameda County, California. The library is a part of the Oakland Public Library, which maintains over one million volumes and circulates 2.6 million items annually, including DVDs, music, and digital resources. The Golden Gates branch has one of the largest African American collections in the library system, nine computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office, a copier, printer, scanner, and meeting rooms, and offers Family Game Nights, Neighborhood Business Assistance programs, and more.
