The Eagle Rock Branch Library and the Los Angeles Public Library serve 3.8 million residents in the City of Los Angeles. The library system maintains 6.3 million volumes and circulates approximately 15.3 million items per year, including world language collections. Eagle Rock Branch formally opened in 1915 and became a part of the public library in 1923. It has English and Spanish resources, Book Bundles, Neighborhood Science Kit, Cybernauts, Mobile Device Charging stations, Public Computers, WiFi, Tech2Go Bundles, and ZoomText and offers Self-checkout, Wireless Printing, and Scanning services, and events such as Citizenship classes, Book clubs, and Crafts.
