The Carmel Mountain Ranch Library is part of the San Diego Public Library, which serves 1.3 million residents in San Diego. The Library System maintains 5.3 million volumes and circulates 6.8 million items per year. Opened in May 1997, the Carmel Mountain Ranch Library provides print and electronic book collections, a Meeting Room, a Children's area, 10 Public Computers, WiFi, Preschool Storytime, Mandarin Chinese Storytime, and other library events and services.
