The Haggard Library is part of the Plano Public Library System that serves over 289,000 residents in the City of Plano, Collin County. The Library System maintains 766,971 volumes and circulates approximately 4.7 million items annually. Haggard Library was established in 1989 through the benevolence of the WO. Haggard, Jr. family. It is housed in a 40,000-square-foot space on three floors and operates seven days a week. It houses over 41,000 volumes, a Genealogy Center, Parent Child Workstations, a Children's Play area, Art Exhibit spaces, a Digital Creation space, and Meeting and Study rooms. Other available services include Computers for public use, WiFi, Copy/Print/Fax machines, Computer Classes, and literacy programs for all ages.
