The Marathon Public Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves 365 residents in the city of Marathon, a census-designated place in Brewster County, Texas. The library has more than 5,000 book and serial volumes; 43 audio and 729 video collections; and 7,255 items per year with 1,068 visits and 7,224 registered borrowers. Founded in 1953, it is a branch of the Alpine Public Library whose vision is to bring the world to Marathon. Additionally, other services include fax, printing, and scanning; Wi-Fi, which can be free or under the hotspot Lending Program; computer access; 3D printing; and staff even offer notary services.
