The Northwest Branch Library serves about 182,400 residents in the City of Cypress and is a part of the Harris County Public Library. The publicly funded library maintains 75,700 volumes and circulates 593,600 items per year, including fiction and nonfiction books, movies, and TV shows. The Northwest Branch opened in 1983 and serves as a Family Place Learning Center. It offers computer and technology classes, English Learning (ESL) classes, free tax preparation guides, tours for schools, and other events for all ages.
