The Shandon Library serves 1,054 residents in the City of Shandon and is part of the San Luis Obispo City-County Library. The Library System maintains 375,275 volumes and circulates over 2.4 million items annually. Shandon Library offers collections of fiction and non-fiction, mystery, and Large Print books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, and Spanish resources for children and adults. It houses a children's area featuring Beginning Reader, Picture, In-Between-Reader, Teen, and non-fiction books. Additionally, Shandon Library provides Handy hardware tools for checkout, two Computers for public use, and free Wireless Internet access.
