The Lake Los Angeles Library serves 165,761 residents in the City of Palmdale. The library is a part of the County of Los Angeles Public Library, which maintains 5.3 million volumes and circulates 16.5 million items per year. Opened in 1992, the Lake Los Angeles Library is housed in a 4,250-square-foot building along with spaces for children and teens, eight public computers, eight laptop & hotspot kits, two teen computers, two early learning computers, and two homework center computers. It provides print and online collections, in-person and telephone research assistance, photocopying, and other library programs and services.
