The Pajaro Branch Library serves 3,500 residents in the City of Pajaro and is one of the Monterey County Free Libraries. The library system maintains 313,160 volumes and circulates 434,000 items per year.  The Pajaro Branch, which opened in 1931, has a total annual circulation of 2,650 items and offers English and Spanish collections, including books, books on CDs, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, and electronic materials. It is housed in a 1,325-square-foot structure that includes a homework center, public computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office packages, and fax/print/copy/scan machines. It also offers programs for children and adults.
