The Fairfax Library serves 7,520 residents in the City of Fairfax and is the first branch of the Marin County Free Library. The library holds collections of 79,560 volumes and circulates 225,229 items annually, including books, music CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, large print books, magazines, and newspapers. Opened in 1927, the Fairfax Library provides Spanish resources, a Seed Library, Chromebooks, Hotspots, Public computers, WiFi, ADA workstation, and Scanning, Printing, Copying, and Faxing services.
