The Thompson Sawyer Public Library is a publicly funded and managed library serving a little more than 4,100 residents in the city of Quanah, the county seat of Hardeman County, Texas. With the assistance of various community service clubs, it was established in 1960 with a mission to provide the means through which citizens of Hardeman County may have free access to the thinking of all sides of all ideas. Today, the library maintains almost 28,711 book and serial volumes, with 532 audio and 91027 video files, and circulates more than 11,500 items per year. Additionally, it has more than 4,600 visits and 1,645 registered borrowers.
